Welcome to Reggaedelic Sounds, a website devoted to vintage Jamaican music. The purpose of this website is to share the music we love — rocksteady and early reggae — with others. The new blog format is frequently updated with record reviews, features on producers and artists, and local events.

About the contributors…

Nina is a Jamaican oldies enthusiast whose search for top tunes and rarities is never-ending. Her favorite producers include Coxsone Dodd, Joe Gibbs, and Derrick Harriott. She is particularly fond of Jamaican music recorded between 1967 and 1970, including everything from sweet rocksteady harmonies to fast, rhythmic instrumentals.

Viktor is a fanatic of Jamaican music, especially rocksteady and early reggae. His first exposure to Jamaican music was life changing. Listening to records and studying the history of the music for hours, his passion became all encompassing. He is constantly looking for rare sounds and loves discussing Jamaican music and culture with others.
