Steve the Hat’s DJ bio:
A DJ since the early 80s in New Zealand I started out in clubs playing Soul and Club music. I’ve played all over the world including New York , Sydney , Milan and of course London . A long time Reggae fan this became an increasing interest since the late 80s and has come to dominate my selection. Since moving to London in the early 90s I have collected with a focus on Ska and Rock Steady but continue to play all types of Reggae together with Soul, RnB, Jazz and Latin. My motto is ‘if it comes on a 45 and I like it, I’ll play it’. Expect at the Rock Steady Lounge a 60s and 70s selection of Reggae for a dancing crowd on strictly original 7”!
Viktor and I will bring you plenty of rocksteady and reggae too! TerryLee will greet you at the door and be sure to try one of Albert’s tasty drink concoctions!
